If you like Adorable applique t-shirts for kids of all ages, baby accessories, and much much more, Then you will love the items at LilyStitches. Kim also does custom orders!

Let's get to know LilyStitches and Kim :

What would you like us to know about you?
What would you like us to know about you? Originally from Syracuse, NY, I now live in Rochester with my wonderful husband. By day I am a full time special education teacher, but on the weekends I enjoy sewing and baking. My interest in these hobbies began as a child. My mom is an amazing baker (and cook :)) and her mother a fantastic crocheter. Some of my fondest childhood memories are the times I spent with these two loving women who have been the inspiration of Lilystitches.

What prompted you to open an Etsy Shop?
A couple of years ago one of my best friends taught me to quilt. Shortly after that, I began making applique t-shirts for friends children. For fun I posted my pictures on Facebook and my cousin recommended I look into Etsy. From then on I was hooked :)

How did you come up with your shop name?
I have 2 dogs, Roxy & Lily. While they are both my loves, Lily is my "try something new", "adventurous" inner child.

How would you describe your shop?
I would describe my shop as a work in progress. I love custom orders! My shop currently consists of children's apparel (applique t-shirts, pillowcase dresses, jumpers) baby accessories (bibs, burp clothes), women's bags/clutches and hair accessories.

What inspires you?
I find my inspiration through my loved ones. I have several friends and family that ask me to make things for their little ones or special events. From there I vary the designs for others so that each design is somewhat of an original.

Which item in your shop is your favorite to make/find?
I would have to say that my favorite item in my shop my flower girl skirt sets. I love working with brides to coordinate the colors of their wedding to make the perfect gift for the little ones who are part of their special day.

If you were shipwrecked on a desert island, what are the 3 crafty must haves?
Hmmm that's a tough one...1) Gorilla glue 2) thread 3) Velcro

Where else can we find you?
You can find me at www.lilystitches.com
Or www.facebook.com/kim.lilystitches
My goal this year is to try out a craft fair or 2 but those are TBA :)

Is there anything else you would like to share?
Just that I am so thankful for the opportunity to have met the wonderful individuals that I have gotten to know over the past year.

Thanks so much Kim.  It has been great getting to know you and discovering your shop and your lovely items.

Now please show Kim some support and let us know which of her pieces are your favorite from her shop! Oh...and go ahead and heart a few of her items along with her shop :)

Let's get to know Labarradulce and Regina :

What would you like us to know about you?
I`m a single Industrial and Graphic designer, I`ve been selling online since 2004 in Guatemala in my website and since 2011 on Etsy.
I`ve an Industrial designer degree but I`ve always worked also in graphic design as a freelance and I recently discovered my passion in Cake decorating, I think that its just like Product design but in sugar.
I live in Guatemala city, Guatemala and I am very proud of my country, I just started to learn K`iche` an ancient Mayan language talked in most part of Guatemala besides Spanish, and its a very difficult task!!
If you live in the USA, Guatemala is the next country below Mexico on a map :)

What prompted you to open an Etsy Shop?
I found Etsy by accident searching online, in Guatemala the site isn't that popular. At first I was looking for a site just to accept online payments for my clients in Guatemala without knowing that Etsy will be a new marketplace for my graphic designs.  I joined Etsy on 2010 but started selling until last year because you can`t receive your payments in Guatemala so I just spend back my profits online. I hope you can retrieve your payments in a bank account.

How did you come up with your shop name?
Siete invitaciones means "seven invitations" because I offer you a variety of party supplies and mostly invitations, one invitation for each day of the week, seven is the holy number in many religions and is my lucky number :)  la barra dulce means "the candy bar" because I sell and design candy stations, cakes and candy goodies also, but just in my country for now.

How would you describe your shop?
I sell on Etsy DIY party printables kit, Custom printables and graphic design. If you are looking for a custom special design I can design it and offer you very affordable prices. I try to offer my clients 1 weekly SALE discounted price.

What inspires you?
As a designer I`m always looking for new design inspirations online and in my surroundings, looking for ways to fix things or improve them.  I love the Mayan traditional textiles and get a lot of color palettes from them and in Guatemala you can look out the window and see a lot of different colors You can have many seasons in one day in the morning there is a clear blue sky, a little Rain at noon and in the afternoon some orange and purple colored clouds!

Which item in your shop is your favorite to make/find?
I love to do the custom DIY Party kits, to work with the parents ideas, help them to make extra special their birthday parties

If you were shipwrecked on a desert island, what are the 3 crafty must haves?
you must have a pair of scissors to survive, I love punches, and if I find electricity a computer with Freehand or Photoshop I can`t go 1 day without using these CAD programs.

Where else can we find you?
I run some FB pages, a giveaway blog, my websites, etc.

Talented Tuesday - CritterProject

I would like you to meet CritterProject and their Etsy shop: CritterProject

If you are looking for Cat toys and Dog toys and to help shelter cats and dogs! Then you will love the items at  CritterProject .

Let's get to know  CritterProject :

What would you like us to know about you?
We are friends who met several years ago at Busy Fingers, a sewing group at The Anti-Cruelty Society, in Chicago. We range in age from 35 to 70 and have diverse talents: Maliaka is an artist, Marsha is an accomplished seamstress and hand quilter, Monica specializes in cat toys and engineers the complex dog toys. Terry is our financial whiz and Lisa is our public “voice” for social media. Every toy we sell is designed and carefully handcrafted by one of us in Chicago. www.CritterProject.etsy.com

The Anti-Cruelty Society's Busy Fingers sewing group makes toys, beds and bandannas for the cats and dogs housed at the shelter. Drawing on our animal shelter and sewing experience, we created Critter Project Inc., an independent, micro-nonprofit company. Our mission is twofold: first, to make innovative, fun, high quality toys your pets will love and second, to help enrich the lives of shelter cats and dogs.

Critter Project designs and makes toys for cats and dogs. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit and we give 100% of our profits to fund animal care efforts such as beds and toys for shelter cats and dogs. These enrichment items enhance the shelter animals' well-being and increases their chances of finding loving, forever homes.

What prompted you to open an Etsy Shop?
We ran out of personal funds to make and give enrichment items to animal shelters. Opening an Etsy shop provided a platform for a permanent monetarily self-sustaining project.

How did you come up with your shop name?
Critter Project is intended to be fun, playful and communicate that the shop is there to help pets. Sewing circle friends brainstormed and voted on words and word combinations until there was a clear winner.

How would you describe your shop?
Very high quality cat toys and dog toys that are creative, entertaining and inspired by our combined experience designing and sewing toys for shelter animals.
100% of our profits to fund animal care efforts such as beds and toys for shelter cats and dogs. These enrichment items enhance the shelter animals' well being and increase their chances of finding loving, forever homes.

What inspires you?
Watching our own pets and the shelter animals react to various toys.

Which item in your shop is your favorite to make/find?
The Flying Saucer dog toy www.etsy.com/listing/98692423/squeaker-dog-toy-bone-flying-saucer-blue and the Spider cat toy www.etsy.com/listing/90651119/kitten-cat-toy-furry-crinkly-spider
If you were shipwrecked on a desert island, what are the 3 crafty must haves?
Scissors, pipe-cleaners and some fleece fabric

Where else can we find you?

Is there anything else you would like to share?
We are off to a good start! We’ve had 106 sales and 46 positive feedback since November of 2011.

Thanks for helping us help the animals Teresa.

What the Heck is going on?

Well.  I know that it seem I dropped off the face of the Earth.  What really happened is more exciting.  My husband got his dream job and we are moving 9 hours away and have to be there in August.  So not much time and much to do, besides packing, we have to find housing, etc.

We have lived here for over 10 years and things have really accumlated!  So my store is still open, but production is down and I will be a bit quieter on the blogging until we get things in hand.

Thanks so much for understanding.

Teresa
