I have a love for Noro yarn, Kureyon, Silk Garden, anything Noro. I love the colors. The problem is I tend to buy 1 or 2 skeins at a time when they are on sale. Well, in the name of stash busting I made my Hubby a blanket.
I was inspired by this pattern. Victoria, the owner of my local yarn shop, Circle of Yarns, has a sample of this pattern in her store. I loved the shape so much that I bought the pattern to figure out how they made the squares. Well, the do them flat and then seam them up.......yuck! So as my usual, I set out to figure out how to do them in the round and have no sewing to do.
And Voila, this is what I came up with. A beautiful stash busting lap blanket for keeping warm under. I love the colors and the fact that is is round and was a lot of fun seeing the colors come out as I made the blocks. I matress stitched them together and presented it to hubby.
Very nice, I love it...what a great way to use up yarn extras!!
